He holds a Doctorate in Medical Humanities from Drew University of New Jersey, where his thesis focused on "Universal Healthcare: Is it the Solution for the Current Healthcare Crisis in the United States?". Dr. Kunnath's career in healthcare began in 1993 after completing his Bachelor's in Nursing (BSN) from Institute of Nursing Sciences, India. His passion for improving healthcare led him into long-term care administration, and he went on to earn Master's degrees in Nursing (MSN) and Public Administration (MPA) from Kean University of NJ. Over the years, he has served in leadership roles at various healthcare facilities, including Trinitas Hospital, Manor Care, and Genesis Eldercare.

In addition, he has worked as a consultant for over 30 skilled nursing facilities across multiple states, assisting them with operational and clinical improvements. His extensive experience in managing nursing homes, survey compliance, and regulatory affairs led him to create StarsForCare, a long-term care survey and five-star rating tool that helps facilities improve care quality while ensuring regulatory compliance.

He holds multiple professional certifications, including being a Certified Director of Nursing (C-NADONA-LTC) and has served as a speaker at both national and international healthcare seminars. Dr. Kunnath has been deeply committed to advancing healthcare policies and implementing innovative solutions for quality assurance and performance improvement in the long-term care sector.
